AMUSEMENT PARK: practice situational problem (C1)
|
Congratulations, you have inherited an amusement park. Inside there is a restaurant with bathrooms inside, a kiddie land for small children under 6 years old and the rest of the park is made up of a variety of rides, rollercoasters and games. The bad news is . . . it's in really bad shape and needs a lot of repairs.
Your task is to create your new amusement park on the rectangular piece of land, and draw a scaled map of the park on the attached grid.
The park's width is 70 m more than half the length with a total perimeter of 1280 m.
The city has strict laws and tells you that:
- The restaurant area must equal 1/10 of the total area of th epark and can be in any shape.
- There must be at least 4 bathrooms for each gender available on site. You can decide te shape of each bathroom, but their total combined area cannot exceed 96 square meters.

The areas of the kiddie land and the rest of the park is up to you to design.
A parking lot must be included in your map, but it is outside of the amusement park and its area must equal at least 1/4 of the park's area. It must be in the shape of a rectangle.
Have fun!
