ROCK CYCLE

 

Print the two following images of the rock cycle:

(you may want to copy & paste each image into WORD so that you may print them together on the same page).

 

On a separate sheet, use full sentences to explain each of the following changes in the rock cycle.

The changes are described by following the various arrows in the diagrams.

The 1st question has been done to show you an example. You must recopy it before you do #2 - 6 yourself:

 

1. Igneous rock → Sedimentary rock

Igneous rock becomes weathered and eroded to form sediments. These sediments are then compacted and cemented into sedimentary rocks.

 

2. Igneous rock → Metamorphic rock (there are 2 different pathways)
